Bakels Pettinice Purple Fondant 750g

Pettinice has a reputation for being a great all round fondant, with a good taste and great pliability. It's flexible enough to cover your cake without cracking, but also not too soft so you can lift it onto your cake without cracking.

750g pack. One pack will easily cover an 8" x 4" cake or 10" x 3" cake with some to spare.

Tips for working with fondant:

• Knead on a clean surface to warm and soften before rolling out. If it's been kept somewhere cool, microwave it for 5 seconds to soften.
• Dust your work surface with cornflour (not icing sugar) to stop the fondant sticking as you roll it out.
• Colour fondant using gel colours like Chefmaster, or oil colouring like Colour Mill. For colours like red or black, it's easiest to buy these pre-coloured.
• Add tylose powder to create a modelling paste if you're cutting shapes or figures that need to dry hard.
