Tips for working with fondant:
Knead on a clean surface to warm and soften before rolling out your fondant. If it's been kept in a cool place, you can also microwave for 5-10 seconds first.
You can colour fondant using gel colours like Chefmaster gels, or oil colouring like Colour Mill. For colours like red or black, you're best to buy these pre-coloured!
If your fondant becomes sticky, set it aside to cool down.
Add tylose powder to create a modelling paste if you want to use to to make figures or flowers.
